Battery and motor

The Y04 is a small, light scooter with a 350 W motor and a 48 V, 12 Ah portable lithium battery. Revoo claims a top speed of up to 30 km/h and a range of up to 45 km. A full charge takes 6 to 7 hours, and electricity use is 0.58 units per full charge.

Size and practicality

The Y04 is one of the few Revoo models with published dimensions: 1,430 mm long, 665 mm wide and 1,065 mm high. It weighs just 40 kg, the lightest in the range, and has 135 mm of ground clearance. It has 60/100-10 tubeless tyres, drum brakes at both ends and mechanical suspension. The battery is described as portable, which suggests it can be carried indoors for charging, though the page does not spell this out.

Warranty and price

Revoo lists a 24-month battery warranty and a 24-month motor warranty. The official price is Rs 119,000, which is Rs 19,000 above the A04. The Y04 therefore offers a longer battery warranty and a lighter, smaller body for a modest premium over the A04.

Who it suits

In our opinion, the Y04 suits teenagers, students and riders who need something light and easy to park, and who ride short distances at low speed. A 40 kg weight is easy to handle for smaller riders. It is not suitable for carrying a pillion on hills or busy roads given its small motor.

Which one to buy

If you want the lowest price, the A04 is cheaper by Rs 19,000. The Y04 is better if you value a lighter body and a 24-month battery warranty. If you need more range, the Y06 offers up to 60 km for Rs 32,000 more.
