The Super Bike has a 48 V, 27 Ah nano carbon fiber (graphene-based) battery and a multi-mode motor rated at 500 to 800 W. Metro claims a top speed of 35 to 40 km/h and a range of up to 80 km. Normal and Sport modes are available.
Charging takes 6 to 7 hours and electricity use is 1.5 units per charge, with up to 1,000 charge cycles. The page shows a 24-month battery and motor warranty in the headline and specification list, but the battery section mentions 18 months, so confirm the term.
The Super Bike measures 1,570 x 690 x 1,060 mm with 110 mm of ground clearance, which is low, and a weight capacity of 125 kg. It has a front disc and a rear drum brake and 10-inch tubeless 2.75-10 4PR tyres on iron alloy rims. Colours are black and grey.
Metro lists cruise control and a side-stand sensor. It has a charger and an energy-monitoring system but no reverse option or alarm.
The official price is Rs 144,000.
In our opinion, the Super Bike suits a light commuter who wants a front disc brake and cruise control at a low price. The 110 mm ground clearance is a problem on broken roads and speed breakers, so it is best kept to good surfaces.
The Super Bike sits between the Wonder Bike and the T9 Sport NCF. It offers more range and a higher weight capacity than the Wonder Bike, and the T9 Sport NCF at Rs 184,000 adds 12-inch-class hardware and a claimed 110 km. If you can stretch the budget, the Dabang NCF at Rs 190,000 offers a lot more for Rs 46,000 extra.
