Battery and motor

The X8 is a foldable electric scooter. It has a 350 W multi-mode motor and a 36 V, 10 Ah detachable lithium battery. Metro claims a top speed of up to 25 km/h and a range of up to 40 km, with three riding modes.

Charging and warranty

Charging takes 2 to 4 hours, and the battery is rated for up to 1,100 charge cycles. The battery and motor warranty is 12 months, the shortest in Metro’s range.

Size and practicality

The listed dimensions are 1,083 x 420 x 1,186 mm, with 115 mm of ground clearance and a weight capacity of 100 to 125 kg. It has 10-inch 2.125 tyres on iron alloy rims. The specification lists a rear disc brake, while the feature pictures also mention front and rear disc brakes and hydraulic shock absorption, so confirm what you get. Metro mentions 32 litres of storage space. The detachable battery can be carried indoors.

Equipment

A digital meter, three riding modes and a disc brake are listed. The scooter folds, which makes it easy to store in a flat or car boot.

Price

The model page says the Rs 99,000 offer ended on 30 September 2026, leaving the regular price of Rs 129,000. The page still shows Rs 99,000 in some places and the products page shows Rs 85,000, so confirm the current price.

Which one to buy

In our opinion, the X8 is a niche product for short, slow trips and for people who need to fold and carry the scooter. At Rs 129,000 it costs about the same as the Super Bike, which offers a much bigger battery and double the range, so most buyers will be better served by a non-folding scooter.
