Zongfa G8-3000

Battery and motor

The G8-3000 is the most powerful model in the Zhongfa range. It has a 3000W motor and a large 72V 90Ah lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery with an IP-65 rating. Zhongfa claims a top speed of 100 km/h and a range of 140 to 160 km per charge. The site lists a charging time of 4 to 5 hours with an 87.6V 15AH charger. A claimed range of up to 160 km is among the longest of any electric two-wheeler sold in Pakistan, though the figure comes from the manufacturer and has not been independently tested. Real-world range at higher speeds will be lower.

Size and practicality

This is a full-size motorcycle rather than a scooter. It rides on 17-inch wheels with a 110/70-17 tyre at the front and a 140/70-17 tyre at the rear, which are proper motorcycle sizes. The maximum rated load is 220 kg, the highest in the range. The official page says a Class A licence is required to ride it, so please confirm the licensing and registration rules with the dealer before you buy. Dimensions, weight, seat height and ground clearance are not published, so we have left them out. The page describes comfortable suspension and an ergonomic design, without giving travel figures.

Equipment

There is one version. Braking uses double discs at the front and a disc at the rear, which is the strongest braking setup in the Zhongfa range. The bike has LED lighting and an LED display dashboard that shows real-time performance data. The page mentions advanced technology and premium comfort features but does not list them. It does not mention ABS, riding modes, USB charging, regenerative braking or a removable battery. Six colours are offered: black, white, red, matte red, grey and maroon.

Price, warranty and which one to buy

The official price is PKR 585,000. Zhongfa does not publish a warranty period on the model page, so please get the terms for the large battery and motor in writing. In our opinion, the G8-3000 is aimed at riders who want a fast electric bike for longer commutes and highway use and who are comfortable paying more than the cost of many 125cc to 150cc petrol bikes. It is a sensible step up only if you will use its speed and range regularly. If your trips are short and in the city, the cheaper Z6 2000 or CZ 125 will cover your needs for far less money. A bike with a battery of this size also has a high replacement cost later, so ask about battery pricing and service coverage.
