Eveon N7 Max overview and our opinion

Motor and battery

The Eveon N7 Max uses a 1000 W BLDC motor and a 60V 26Ah swappable lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. Eveon lists a top speed of 45 to 50 km/h and a range of 70 to 80 km. The page quotes a charging cost of 2.3 units of electricity per full charge. Eveon’s website does not give a charging time for most models, so check with the dealer if overnight charging matters to you.

Size and practicality

Eveon does not publish dimensions, weight, seat height or ground clearance for this model, so those fields are blank. The page lists 10-inch tubeless tyres and a front disc and rear drum brake. Eveon says its scooters have spacious under-seat storage that fits helmets and bags.

Equipment

Equipment listed on the model page includes front disc brake, tubeless tyres, alloy wheels, removable battery, anti-theft alarm, digital speedometer, reverse assist, cruise control, keyless on/off, traction control. There is only one version of the N7 Max, so there is no variant choice to make.

Warranty and ownership

Eveon lists 24 months on the motor, 36 months on the battery and 18 months on the controller. The company’s own price guide advises buyers to check that the battery warranty is clearly written and that there is a service centre in their city. Eveon has a service centre and a dealership page, and you can book a test ride through the website.

Running costs

Eveon says an electric scooter has no petrol cost because you charge it at home, and that it has fewer moving parts than a petrol bike, so there are no engine oil changes or spark plugs to replace. The company adds that your exact savings depend on how far you ride each day, so work out your own figures using your electricity tariff.

Where it sits in the range

By price, the N7 Max is number 4 of the 14 models in Eveon’s current model menu, counting from the cheapest. The next cheaper model is the Joy at Rs 184,000, which is Rs 5,000 less. The next dearer model is the Pronto Plus at Rs 204,000, which is Rs 15,000 more. Eveon says prices may change and asks buyers to check the model page or contact the company for the latest price.

Which one to buy

This section is our opinion. The N7 Max is the cheapest Eveon with a 36-month LFP battery warranty and a swappable battery, so it is a strong value pick for short city trips. It costs Rs 26,000 more than the N7 for the LFP battery and longer warranty. Remember that range and top speed are manufacturer claims, so treat them as best-case figures.
