Metro E8S PRO overview

The Metro E8S PRO price in Pakistan is Rs 330,000, and it is the premium city scooter in Metro’s electric range. It is built by Metro E-Vehicles (Pak Star Automobile) at the company’s Sheikhupura factory, in collaboration with Chinese manufacturer Yadea, whose own E8S Pro is the same scooter sold abroad. It has been on sale in Pakistan since July 2023, sitting above the E8S Mountain Climber as the faster, more premium city variant of the same family.

Motor, battery and range

The E8S PRO uses a 2000W TTFAR motor with 140 Nm of torque, which is a strong figure for a scooter of this size and explains the 65 km/h top speed. The battery is a 72V 38Ah graphene pack, 2.74 kWh in total, and Metro quotes a range of up to 125 km on a full charge. Other sources quote slightly less, 120 km on Gari.pk and 100-plus km in the PAVE scheme guide, so a buyer should plan on around 100 to 120 km in real daily use and treat 125 km as the best-case figure. Charging takes 4 to 5 hours from a normal socket, and Metro supplies a fast charger with the scooter. Three riding modes, Economy, Power and Turbo, let the rider trade range for punch.

Size, comfort and equipment

The scooter measures 1839 by 710 by 1165 mm with a 740 mm seat height, so it is a full-size scooter that should suit most adult riders, and it rides on 12-inch tubeless tyres with disc brakes at both ends. Under the seat there is a useful 32-litre storage compartment, and the smart digital dashboard shows battery level and range. Keyless start and remote unlock are standard, and there is an anti-theft alarm and a reverse mode for getting out of tight parking spots. Metro covers the motor and battery for 18 months or 20,000 km.

Which one to buy and the price warning

There is only one E8S PRO variant, so there is no variant decision to make. The price needs care: PakWheels and Gari.pk both list Rs 330,000 as the current new-model price, but Metro’s own price-guide blog lists the same scooter at Rs 275,000, a dealer lists it at Rs 299,000, and a PAVE scheme guide lists Rs 245,000, so the spread is wide and prices have moved repeatedly since the Rs 360,000 launch price of July 2023. Check with a dealer before paying. At Rs 330,000 it is about Rs 46,000 dearer than the Mountain Climber, and that premium buys the higher top speed and the premium city positioning rather than more range. Against rivals such as the Evee S1 Pro and the Yadea T5, the E8S PRO’s case rests on its 140 Nm torque, its 125 km headline range and Metro’s local assembly and dealer network.
