The E-GO is Road Prince’s electric two-wheeler. The official page lists a BLDC hub motor rated 72 V and 2 HP, run by a 72 V, 1,500 W controller with CAN communication. The battery is a lithium-ion pack of 72 V and 24 Ah, which works out to about 1.7 kWh by our calculation. Charging takes 4 to 5 hours with a 72 V charger. Road Prince does not publish a range or a top speed on the page.
The E-GO has a three-position drive mode switch on the right handlebar, with a head light and tail light switch. Levers on both sides cut motor current when braking. The throttle is electronically controlled by wire. The digital display shows speed, odometer, trip meter and battery level. The battery-to-controller cable is listed as IP65 water-resistant with CAN communication.
Dimensions are 1,920 x 790 x 1,190 mm on a 1,240 mm wheelbase. Tyres are 2.25-17 at the front and 2.50-17 at the rear, so it uses the same wheel size as a petrol commuter. Suspension is a telescopic front fork with rebound damping and a rear swing arm with outer-spring shocks, rebound damping and a preload adjuster. Weight, seat height and brake type are not published. Colours are black and red.
The 1 October 2026 price table lists the E-Go at Rs 260,000. That is a lot more than a 70cc petrol bike, though an electric bike has no fuel cost. Warranty terms, including any battery warranty, could not be read on the official site, which matters for a battery-powered bike.
The website gives no range, top speed, weight or brake details, so ask for them in writing. Check how long the battery warranty is, whether replacement packs are available and how much they cost. Ask about charger compatibility and what happens when a household power cut interrupts charging.
In our opinion, the E-GO suits a commuter who rides a fixed route, can charge at home overnight and wants to avoid petrol. It is less suitable for riders who make long or unpredictable trips, because the website gives no range figure to plan around.
In our opinion, the E-GO suits a city rider with a fixed daily route and a place to charge at home. Check the battery warranty, the real-world range and the availability of service before buying. Ask for a range figure in writing, since the website gives none.
