The Flash has a 73.6 V, 40 Ah Lithium LFP battery, listed as 3 kW, and a brushless motor rated at 1,500 to 2,200 W. Crown claims a top speed of 60 to 70 km/h and a range of 100 to 120 km in eco mode. It has four riding modes, and Crown mentions cruise-control support on the display.
The 83.95 V 10 A charger takes 4 to 5 hours for a full charge.
Net weight is 110 kg and the load limit is 180 kg. Tyres are 90/90-12 at the front and 120/70-10 at the rear, and they are tubeless. Side and rear frames are fitted to protect the body. The colours are white, grey, red, blue and black.
The Flash has a combined braking system and disc brakes, a side-stand sensor that cuts the ignition when the stand is down, an anti-theft alarm, a USB port for charging a phone, a digital dashboard and an LED headlight. It also uses NFC unlock. A ToughGuard protective guard is listed as a free gift.
Crown publishes the same warranty for all its electric bikes: Battery 4 years / 48,000 km; motor and controller 3 years / 36,000 km (repairable warranty); body parts 1 year / 12,000 km. Each period applies up to the stated distance, whichever comes first, and the motor and controller cover is a repairable warranty. Crown also lists financing through MCB Bank, Meezan Bank and Alfa Mall by Bank Alfalah, so ask your dealer for the current plans. The official price is Rs 285,000, the same as the standard Champion.
Ask the dealer to explain how the combined braking system and the disc brakes work together, because the website describes both. Check that the USB port and the alarm work as described, and ask about the price of replacement tubeless tyres in the 120/70-10 rear size.
Crown says its electric bikes need little maintenance because they have no engine oil to change and fewer moving parts. That is the company’s claim; ask the service center what the regular service schedule and cost are.
In our opinion, the Flash is a solid option for a rider who wants a larger battery and more safety features than the Firefly, such as the side-stand sensor, alarm and USB port, and who does not need the Raftaar Pro’s speed. It costs Rs 50,000 more than the Firefly. The Champion has the same battery, motor and price, so compare the two on looks and handling, because the published specifications are almost identical.
