Engine and gearbox

The SP 70 Dollar uses a 78 cm³ single-cylinder, air-cooled, four-stroke OHC engine. Super Power lists 7.0 PS at 8,500 rpm and 0.55 kg-m of torque at 6,500 rpm, with an 8.8:1 compression ratio and a 47.0 x 41.4 mm bore and stroke. Power goes through a wet plate clutch and a four-speed gearbox, and ignition is a CDI electronic system. The company also claims one litre of petrol takes the bike 70 km, which is a manufacturer figure and should be treated as a best case rather than a guarantee.

Size and practicality

The bike measures 1,885 x 760 x 990 mm and weighs 82 kg dry, so it is easy to push around, park and filter through traffic. Ground clearance is 35 mm, which is low, so a rider who uses broken roads or high speed breakers should be careful. The fuel tank holds 10 litres. The frame is a backbone type and both wheels use 2.25-17 4PR tyres. Super Power does not publish seat height, brake type or suspension details on its website, so check these at the showroom.

Equipment

The Dollar is the plainest bike in Super Power’s current 70cc line-up. The official page lists no extra features beyond the basic engine and chassis details, and the starting method is not stated. It is offered in black and red. Because it carries no published extras, it is a pure low-cost commuter rather than a feature bike.

Price and warranty

The official listing shows PKR 114,000 for both colours. Warranty terms are not published on the product page, so ask the dealer in writing what is covered and for how long. A second-hand SP 70 will be cheaper, but a new bike gives you a fresh engine and a documented start.

Running costs

A 78 cm³ air-cooled engine with a simple CDI ignition and a wet clutch is easy for most workshops to look after, which is one reason 70cc bikes remain popular. If the official 70 km per litre claim holds even partly in your riding, fuel costs should stay low. Real mileage depends on load, road, tuning and riding style, so treat the claim as a guide.

Which one to buy

In our opinion, the Dollar is the sensible pick if your priority is the lowest purchase price in the Super Power range. The Chrome Edition costs PKR 3,000 more with the same published specifications, and the Premium costs PKR 11,000 more. Unless you want the styling or the self-start option of those models, the Dollar gives you the same engine for less. Test the bike for kick-start ease, clutch feel and finish quality before paying.
